The purpose of Quali-Night AG's new building is the transshipment of goods from large trucks to small vans with trailers. Approximately 90 loading ramps and a fully automatic sorting system are available on two floors for this purpose.
Quali-Night Logistics Center, Kölliken
The two-story hall measures 120 m x 78 m in plan. The intermediate floor, spanning up to 29 m, supports 7.5-ton vans or a live load of 750 kg/m². Precast columns and beams form the main structural system of the slab as a frame. Precast ribbed elements span transversely. The roof structure consists of the same construction principle, but in timber: main structure with glulam beams and ribbed elements made of squared timbers and a continuous OSB board.
Thanks to consistent prefabrication, the supporting structure from the foundation could be built in just 4 months.
