ETH LEE Zurich

The sixteen-storey office high-rise was built in the centre of Zurich on Leonhardstrasse, directly below the ETH Main Building. A spacious, representative entrance area welcomes users and visitors and guides them to the offices on the upper floors and to lecture halls on the ground floor.

The high-rise tower reaches an eaves height of 40 m above ground level, while the base slab lies 20 m below ground level. While the basement levels were constructed entirely in cast-in-place concrete, the upper floors—except for the stabilising cores—were built using precast concrete, with ribbed slab floors and rectangular façade columns. Textured concrete elements form the building’s self-supporting façade.
