Forsthaus Bern Energy Center

The new Forsthaus Bern Energy Center comprises a 50 m high waste bunker, a 300 m long hall up to 45 m high, and a 70 m high prefabricated tower.

New Construction of the Forsthaus Bern Energy Center

With the exception of the substructure for the air condensers, the supporting structures were built in concrete and reduced to the minimally required load-bearing elements to ensure maximum flexibility. While the tall, slab-like walls of the waste bunker were constructed using cast-in-place concrete, prefabricated concrete elements were used for the wide-span ceilings and the up to 70 m high facades of the center and the tower.
