The existing Dieschen Sports Center in Lenzerheide underwent extensive renovation and was expanded into a modern wellness center in 2007 and 2008. The expansion includes a two-story elongated building directly adjacent to the existing swimming pool. The new building houses a new children's pool and the wellness center.

The supporting structure of the extension building is a solid construction with a lightweight steel-wood roof and a wooden facade.
The existing timber roof structure above the main swimming pool showed severe corrosion damage in the area of the steel connections and no longer met the structural safety requirements. The existing lattice girders were replaced by prestressed glulam beams, which were arranged in the grid of the existing lattice girders and supported on the existing columns. The design of the beams was chosen so that they could be installed from the inside without removing the roof, as the roof covering was still in good condition.
